The Beginning

Hi everyone! StarPawa here

This is my first devlog, so I want to talk a bit about what tide of the depths is going to be about.

As big fans of the tower defense genre here in the studio, we wanted to do our own take on the linear tower defense style of games, so here are some key features we wanted to include:

  • Dynamic lane changes: some levels can have five lanes, some can have up to eight, and some can have a super long map, with this approach we wanted to make the challenge of the game more dynamic.

  • Upgradable creatures: towers in tide of the depths are sea creatures, they can be upgraded once when you place them, at the cost of more energy to give powerful abilities or different effects, be careful, though, jumping straight to the upgrade will not always be the best option.

  • A Huge interaction system, everything interacts with everything, find all the secrets hidden in the ocean!

  • Obtainable bosses?
